CAL Fire Confirms Jamestown Fire Caused By Arson

Jamestown, CA — According to CAL Fire Investigator Dennis Townsend the fire that totally consumed one residence early Sunday morning and severely damaged another residence was arson set.

Townsend added that the fire started in a structure located at 17695 Rolling Hills Blvd. and quickly spread to an adjacent residence. The first structure was considered a total loss valued at approximately $200,000. The second structure suffered $300,000 in damages along with a personal property loss of $75,000.

One individual has to be transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center due to smoke inhalation.

According to Townsend the first structure was used as a drug house until the owner evicted the tenants two months ago. One person of interest has already been identified by investigating authorities.
