Slawinsky Brothers Headed To Prison

Sponsored by:

Sonora, Ca — Robert Earl and Paul Curtis Slawinsky have been sentenced to 11 years in prison for the voluntary manslaughter death of Carl Stephen Knight back on April 6.

The sentencing was handed down this afternoon in Tuolumne County Superior Court by Judge Eric Du Temple, who said that the Slawinskys must serve no less than 85 percent, or nine years and four months.

Law enforcement was not able to locate Knight, but believe that his body may have been dumped in Lake Don Pedro. A body surfaced in the lake late last week, which postponed the sentencing by 72 hours.

It was later discovered that the body was not Knight´s, but rather missing boater Edgar Delacruz. Had law enforcement been able to locate Knight, the Slawinsky brothers may have faced a heavier sentencing.
