Marijuana Eradication In South Tuolumne County

Sponsored by:

Big Oak Flat, Ca — Earlier today, the Tuolumne Narcotics Team made its first marijuana eradication of the year as 12,800 plants were discovered off Marshes Flat Rd. in the South County.

Lt. Dan Bressler says the plants were located in three separate grows, and were spotted by authorities during an aerial over flight.

No suspects were located at the gardens during the time of the eradication, but several items were seized, including a 22 caliber rifle.

Due to the evidence on scene, the Sheriff´s Office says it was determined to be the work of a Mexican Drug Trafficking Organization.

The marijuana eradication season for the Tuolumne Narcotics Team begins July 1st and continues through early Fall.
