Valley Springs Resident Injured In Friday Afternoon Collision

Valley Springs, Ca — 39-year-old Marnene J. Waid of Valley Springs was transported to Mark Twain Saint Joseph´s Hospital following a collision on Hwy 26 this afternoon.
According the CHP, 72-year-old Jan K. Salbu was traveling westbound when he decided to pull off to the side of the road. Salbu told officers he had seen a man walking and wanted to offer the individual a ride. He attempted to make a u-turn unfortunately into the path of the vehicle driven by Waid and the two vehicles collided.
The accident was reported at 1:15pm. Waid´s injuries are considered minor.
