Moreno Captured And Booked On $1 Million Bail

Sonora, CA — 31 year old Sonny Isreal Moreno was arrested by Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputies at approximately 2pm Tuesday and booked into the County Jail.

Deputies received a tip that Moreno might be located at 18623 Madrone St. in Tuolumne. When deputies arrived to serve a warrant for arrest, his mother, Sheila May Moreno, and brother, Ezekiel Zion Moreno, told deputies he was not present.

Deputies searched the main portion of the residence as well as the basement. Then they located an access to the attic where they discovered Moreno hiding behind a rack of clothing. He was arrested without incident.

Moreno had a $1 million outstanding arrest warrant on domestic violence charges that originated in Covina, CA. Moreno´s mother and brother were arrested for concealment and obstructing law enforcement officers. After being booked they posted bond and were released. Moreno remains jailed.
