Fire Destroys East Sonora Restaurant

Sonora, Ca — A Saturday evening fire completely destroyed the Cocina Michoacana Restaurant at 13955 Mono Way.
Fire Apparatus Engineer Kevin Siville with Tuolumne County Fire Station 51 says that the incident was first reported at 11:45pm.
Crews were on scene through the night and into the early morning.
An early estimate is that the fire caused approximately $500,000 worth of damage to the structure and another $100,000 to the contents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
