Sonora, Ca — It was in April of 1908 that 14 businessmen met together to form the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce.

At Tuesday´s Board of Supervisors meeting, the organization was recognized for its 100 years of service to the county.

The Supervisors passed a resolution, and within it reads “Men and women of integrity have consistently worked to provide firm, but visionary leadership, always mindful of maintaining the Tuolumne County standard for quality of life and growth of all businesses, both large and small.”

It later states, “The Board of Supervisors extends it sincere optimism for 100 more years of planning, serving and helping to ensure the well being of Tuolumne County´s vibrant business community.”

On hand at Tuesday´s meeting was Chamber President/CEO George Segarini and Chairman of the Board of Directors Jim Costello.
