The second in a series of storm systems will arrive today.
This system will move through the area this afternoon and Wednesday. Rain will likely fall in the Motherlode. Snow accumulations of three to eight inches are possible at the higher pass levels.
A couple of more storms will move through the Motherlode during the second half of the week, bringing yet even more precipitation.
