Monday Hit And Run Arrest Made
Sonora, CA — According to a CHP report an arrest has been made in the Monday evening hit and run fatality on Tuolumne Rd. that took the life of 45 year old Stacy Kay Stone of Sonora.
Wednesday afternoon at approximately 4:15 30 year old Nicholas Brian McMahon of Bluebell Ave. East turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office. The CHP was immediately contacted.
Following an interview McMahon was arrested at 5:15pm on a felony charge of hit and run. The damage to the truck (2001 Chevy pickup) that McMahon drove to the Sheriff’s Office was consistent with damage that would have occured at the 8:30pm accident east of Terrace Drive. Â
CHP investigators had recovered a passenger side mirror at the scene of the accident and identified the vehicle at the time as a 2003-2006 Chevy or GMC pickup truck.
According to Officer Mike Buller this investigation is ongoing.
