Calaveras Supervisors Will Hear Trinitas Appeal

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors will hear an appeal by the developers of the Ridge At Trinitas regarding golf operations on the 280 acre property south of Wallace.

The Planning Commission sent a letter to developers Mike and Michelle Nemee on May 15th claiming that golfing is not allowed under the current zoning restrictions. The Trinitas group is challenging the letter, arguing that the broad definition of agritourism in the County Code encompasses golf.

Weeks before sending out the letter, the Supervisors voted down the creation of a resort type complex proposed to be built around the existing golf course.

The public hearing is set for 10am Tuesday during the regular board meeting. The property is scheduled to go on the auction block as part of a bank foreclosure sale on October 9th.
