Downtown Sonora Parking Garage Re-Opens

Sonora, CA — The A.N. Francisco Parking Garage at 48 Yaney St. in downtown Sonora is back open today.
In winter of 2007, the parking garage was closed due to concerns about small cracks that appeared on the first and second levels near the Dodge St. side of the structure. The county worked with engineers from FBA, Inc. to develop plans and specifications for repairs.
The county budgeted $165,000 for the project, and actual construction expenses and testing came to around $140,000. The first floor is designated for public use, while the second level is only for county vehicles.
