Study Will Look At Effectiveness Of Inclusionary Housing Ordinance

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors have voted to fund an annual study on the effectiveness of the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance.

Approved last year, the ordinance requires that 10% of new developments include affordable housing if there are 10 or more lots with the project. The homes then stay in the category for a period of 15 years.

A study on its effectiveness was at the recommendation of the Tuolumne County Building Industry.

It will cost approximately $7,500 the initial year and around $3,000 during the following years.
