Tuolumne County May Receive Kennedy Meadows Property

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County has been selected by the Stewardship Council as a possible title holder of the 240 acre Kennedy Meadows property.

The property is owned by PG&E, but must be donated to a public entity as the result of a bankruptcy agreement. The non-profit Stewardship Council is in charge of finding the best suitor.

“The Stewardship Council has this item on its meeting agenda for this next Wednesday, June 10th,” said Deputy Tuolumne CAO Daniel Richardson at Tuesday’s Supervisors meeting. “Should the Stewardship Council vote in favor of their proposal, the county would enter into a due diligence process so that we could make a good, wise decision.”

If the county takes over the property, it would work out a lease agreement with the Bloom family who owns and operates the resort.
