Winners Named In “It’s A Jungle Out There” Event At Columbia College

Columbia, CA — 25 winners from Tuolumne and Calaveras counties were named Thursday evening at the conclusion of the "It’s A Jungle Out There" K-12 essay contest sponsored by Columbia College.

Winners in alphabetical order included Courtney Blackmore (7th grade-Hickman Charter School), Cole Campbell (5th grade-Education Option School), Frankie Lou Cavagnaro (10th grade-Connections Academy/Summerville High School), Emily Chavez (3rd grade-Education Option School), Adele Emmer (1st grade-Belleview Elementary), Emily Fisher (5th grade-Columbia Elementary), Riley Gervin (7th grade-Hickman Charter School), Brianna Gilbert (4th grade-Mark Twain Elementary), Hannah Gissler (6th grade-Belleview Elementary), Melissa Gomez (4th grade-Mark Twain Elementary), Cody Harrelson (8th grade-Tuolumne County home schooled), Taylor Harrelson (6th grade-Tuolumne County home schooled) and Dakota Lyn Lloyd (2nd grade-Belleview Elementary).

Other winners included Madison Malaia (5th grade-Education Option School), Jacob Martin (3rd grade-Belleview Elementary), Sean Perry (1st grade-Belleview Elementary), Marissa Ramirez (6th grade-Belleview Elementary), Jasmyn Rohde-Moe (4th grade-Education Option School), Hunter Rogers (2nd grade-Belleview Elementary), Albanie Scroggs (2nd grade-Belleview Elementary), Jason Silva (1st grade-Belleview Elementary), Rayanna Torok (7th grade-Hickman Charter School), Frankie Townsend (8th grade-Soulsbyville Elementary), Tyler Townsend (8th grade-Soulsbyville Elementary), and Gavin Williams (3rd grade-Belleview Elementary).
