Interfaith Offers Tuolumne County Residents Help During Hard Times

Sponsored by:

Tuolumne County residents hit by hard times can find help from Interfaith.

Cathie Peacock, Interfaith Executive Director, was KVML’s Friday Newsmaker of the Day.

Interfaith provides free food, clothes, blankets, sleeping bags and basics household appliances to those who are in need.

County residents must show a social security card or other legal form of identification in order to receive help.

"Emergency food, clothes, shoes and other items can be picked up once a month." Peacock said. "Showers and haircuts are also available and are offered free of charge to those in need."

Interfaith is a faith based community social service agency that relies on donations from those who are more fortunate. Volunteers are also welcome.

Interfaith is located two miles north of the Junction Shopping Center up Tuolumne Road and then left on Striker Court. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 1pm.

Call 532-0905 for more information.

The Newsmaker of the Day can be heard each weekday morning at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47 on AM-1450 KVML.
