BOFG Recall Vote Scheduled For May 28

Groveland, CA — A recall election for the five members of the Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School Board has been scheduled for May 28.
The voters will be asked to select “yes” or “no” next to each candidates name, and then select up to five replacements from a pool of candidates.
The Board voted to schedule the recall election during a special meeting held this morning at the district office. The vote was 3-1. Charles Day, Bryan Berger and Lillian Cravens were in favor, Dave Gookin against and Mary Kelly was absent.
The election will be carried out with an all mail ballot. It takes a simple majority to recall a member.
