Agency Hopes To Improve Sierra Nevada Region

Sonora, CA — This weekend’s Mother Lode Views will focus on the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, a state agency created under Governor Schwarzenegger to promote the economic and social well being of the Sierra Nevada.
The guests will be Executive Officer Jim Branham and Program Manager Kim Carr. The groups governing Board held a meeting in Columbia this week to go over the agencies “Forest and Community Initiative.” 22 counties across the Sierra Nevada have endorsed the initiative, including Tuolumne and Calaveras. The initiative will be discussed on this weekend’s show.
