Teen Drowns Sunday

An unidentified 16-year-old male drowned Sunday afternoon approximately one mile north of the Parrotts Ferry Bridge.
The male reportedly jumped off one of the granite cliffs near the bridge during the three o’clock hour. Multiple emergency crews responded to search for the male, including dive teams from the Tuolumne and Calaveras County Sheriff’s Offices. The missing victim was located at around 8:30pm.
Sgt. Jeff Wilson with the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office says the name of the victim will likely be released later today.
