Child Endangerment Arrest

Sonora, CA – A Sonora Woman faces child endangerment charges.
The Sonora Police Department says 27-year-old Melissa Allen was driving recklessly on Greenley Road and pulled over by an officer.
Allen was determined to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance. The Police Department says she was in possession of 18 Soma and nine methadone pills, and didn’t have prescriptions for either. There was also a six-year-old child in the car.
Allen faces charges of felony child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and misdemeanor driving under the influence.
