The Battle Ends

Sponsored by:

Alexandria, VA — 50 year old Ethie Weaver Radanovich lost her battle with cancer Thursday evening.

The wife of 19th District Republican Congressman George Radanovich had fought a three year battle with ovarian cancer. She died at the family home in northern Virginia.

“Ethie was the love of my life. Her smile would light up a room and her boundless energy brought joy and beauty to everyone she met. Ethie truly lived life to the fullest always thinking of King and me and those she loved.

Last night surrounded by our family and friends she passed peacefully to be with God. Her tenacity and perseverance throughout her battle with cancer was evidence of her love of life and a commitment to the ideals she believed in.

King and I so appreciate all the kind words and prayers from everyone … they kept our spirits buoyed throughout. She was a most wonderful wife and mon … we’ll miss her every day.”

Memorial services will be held in Mariposa and Alexandria, Virginia.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Mariposa Bears Football League, c/o Dave McNally, P.O. Box 2098, Mariposa, CA 95338 or to the Mariposa Parks & Recreation Department for the Mariposa Little League, c/o Shannon Hansen, P.O. Box 732, Mariposa, CA 95338.
