Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Copperopolis

Copperopolis, CA– A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident in Copperopolis over the weekend.
According to the CHP, 36-year-old Gary Whitley of Copperopolis was traveling north bound on O’Byrnes Ferry Road when a pickup truck reportedly made a left turn from the Poker Flat Gate community on to O’byrnes Ferry Road.
At this time it is unknown if there was a right of way violation. Whitley ran off the road and overturned his motorcycle. He was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for major injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
