Tuolumne Pedestrian And Bicycle Route Study

Sponsored by:

Tuolumne, CA– Residents of Tuolumne will soon have an opportunity to give comments and input on where they believe new Tuolumne pedestrian and bicycle routes should be located.

The public meeting presented by the Tuolumne Design Review/Planning Committee, will discuss the Tuolumne Community Mobility Enhancement Study.

“The study looks at Tuolumne and some of the immediate surrounding areas to see where they should prioritize making additional sidewalk improvements to better improve the access between the Summerville Elementary school in the south, the commercial hub in the center with the parks, and the access to Mother Lode Christian School,” said Deputy Public Works Director Duke York.”

The study recently adopted by the Tuolumne Community Plan, will also allow the Community of Tuolumne to implement important portions of the Plan related to street lighting, bicycle routes, recreational trails, and uses of specific alleyways.

York says local contractors Patrick Loeffler of Golden State Surveying and Engineering and Tom Holloway of KLA Landscape Architecture and Planning are consultants who will also make a presentation during the meeting.

The public meeting is Thursday, January 27th at 7:00 pm in the Summerville Elementary School cafeteria located at 18541 Carter Street in Tuolumne.
