Update: Power Outages In Calaveras County
Update at 2:30 p.m.: Power has been restored to all 79 customers impacted by two outages in Calaveras County. The lights went back on for 25 customers in Valley Springs and 54 in San Andreas just after 2 p.m. The utility did not give an exact cause for either outage, except to relay that the latter was due to an emergency. Original post at 1:40 p.m.: PG&E is reporting that the lights went out just after 1 p.m. for about 25 customers in the Valley Springs area along Highway 12, Gillam and Double Springs roads.  A crew is heading to the scene to access the situation, according to the utility, which gives a 4:30 p.m. estimated repair time.
In San Andreas, 54 customers have had no electricity since around 10:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Highway 49 and Pool Station Road. A crew is on-site working to restore power. The company relays that the outage was caused by an emergency issue, but did not detail exactly what sparked the outage. The utility gives a repair time of 3:30 p.m.
