Sonora CA — Caltrans crews will be working along all the major Mother Lode highways this week and there’s even a cone zone planned for Sunday on Highway 120.

That work area will stretch along Highway 120 between the Tuolumne River and Moccasin Creek bridges where guardrail work will be in progress from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., likely to bring ten-minute delays.

Ten-minute backups are back in several other spots. This includes every weekday: along Highway 49 in Sonora between Pesce Way and Rawhide Road during shoulder work from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.; Highway 108 between Leland Creek and County roads from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. as crack sealing is underway; Highway 120 between the connector to Elmore Road and Cherry Valley Road during crack sealing from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Too, the 24/7 ten-minute waits on either side of the Highway 120 James E Roberts/Tuolune Bridge are set to continue for another week under automated traffic controls.

On Highway 49, Wednesday through Saturday, there may be brief traffic hiccups in the Bradford Street two-way left turn lane while a utility crew works there from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Along Highway 4 on Monday, look for a crew in and around Stallion Way doing shoulder work from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., which may bring brief delays. Thursday and Friday similar work is planned in the area of Hunt Road, including some private driveways. On Wednesday, tree work on Highway 4 will focus between Douglas Flat/Main Street and Pennsylvania Gulch that might create momentary waits.

In Valley Springs on Highway 12 crews will be core drilling Monday through Wednesday in the area of Nove Way from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. during which the travel delays are expected to be brief. Every weekday they will be doing the same thing at the same time on Highway 26 in that area.

In San Andreas along Highway 49 shoulder work is planned between Pool Station Road and Highway 12 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. that might set motorists back a few minutes.
