Pipe Repairs Create Water Outage In Arnold

Sponsored by:

Arnold, CA — The Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) will interrupt water service to about 200 homes and 12 businesses in Arnold from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday. This outage will allow crews to conduct a pipeline tie-in, which is part of the ongoing Reach 3A Transmission Pipeline Replacement Project.

Once completed, customers may experience discolored water when they turn on their taps. CCWD recommends customers flush their pipes by turning on an outside faucet at the lowest point of their properties and let it run until the water turns clear. Additionally, the district stresses that the water is completely safe to drink and poses no health risk. CCWD cautions that if water is discolored, customers should not use bleach when doing laundry as it can stain clothing.

CCWD provided this list of impacted areas:

  • All of Mill Woods
  • Sequoia Street
  • Fir Street
  • Cedar Street
  • Part of Dunbar Road
  • Part of Maple Street
  • Parts of Lilac Park
  • Water
