DUI Related Crash Injures Two Murphys Residents

Murphys, CA — Calaveras County residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash last night on Murphys Grade Road.
It happened near the intersection of Fairview Park Ct. at approximately 6:20pm. The CHP reports that 57-year-old Beth B. Delima was traveling westbound on Murphys Grade Road and drifted into the opposing traffic lane. Her 2012 Audi hit an oncoming 2015 Dodge driven by 50-year-old Heath C. Lane of Murphys. Both drivers were transported by air ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Delima suffered reported “minor injuries” and Lane sustained “major injuries.”
After arriving at the hospital, the CHP reports that Delima was cited for felony driving under the influence. The investigation is ongoing.
