Added Caltrans Work This Week

San Andreas, CA — Caltrans says motorists using Highway 26 near Mokelumne Hill should, beginning Tuesday, anticipate traffic delays for the rest of the workweek.

Officials say one-way traffic controls will be in place eastbound and westbound along Highway 26 from Middle Fork Mokelumne River to the Calaveras/Amador County line while drainage work is being done daily from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Several other Caltrans cone zones slated this week are likely to cause ten-minute delays.

Two of these involve bridgework in Tuolumne County. During major renovations on the Highway 120 Tuolumne River Bridge, motorists should brace for nearly ’round-the-clock delays of up to ten minutes at a time there through the end of September. More bridgework is ongoing on Highway 108 in Sonora at Mono Way in the overnight hours every evening from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Friday morning.

More ten-minute tree work-related traffic stops are in store every weekday on Highway 120 between Old Priest Grade Road and the West Boundary Yosemite National Park Entrance from 5:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuolumne County road crews are additionally working in that area, as reported here, causing Old Priest Grade to be shut down part of each weekday
