Caltrans Plans Week Of April 18

Sponsored by:

Stockton, CA – The coming week will be full of Caltrans cone zones on Mother Lode highways, beginning Sunday night.

A nearly $3 million rumble strip installation project that will run through October will begin to roll out this Sunday night at 7. It will initially focus between Calaveras and San Joaquin counties. Crews this week will work during the overnight hours until 6 a.m. nightly until Friday morning at 6. Expect ten-minute traffic impacts while the work is being done in the median and outside shoulders of the roadway.

This week, the rumble strip additions are slated for Highway 12/Victor Road in San Joaquin County, from Kennison Lane to the San Joaquin/Calaveras County line; on Highway 12 in Calaveras County from the San Joaquin/Calaveras County line to Highway 49; on Highway 26 from White Lane in San Joaquin County to the Calaveras County line; and on Highway 26 in Calaveras County from Shelton Road/Highway 49.

In tandem with the overnight rumble strip work beginning Sunday eve, striping operations are scheduled in Calaveras County for the same hours all week through Friday morning along Highway 26 from Shelton Road to Highway 49. The work will likely bring 15-minute delays.

Utility Work On 26 and 49; Crack Sealing on 108

Tuesday, a utility crew is assigned on Highway 26 to work between Rich Gulch Lane and Lower Dorray Road from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. that may create momentary setbacks through that period.

Along Highway 49 in Calaveras County more utility and shoulder work, scheduled daily, may cause five-minute traffic impacts. Monday through Friday look for crews between California Street and Angels Road from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday, crews will also work between Copello Drive and San Domingo Creek near Angels Camp from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday only, work is scheduled between Bellview Street and Murray Creek in San Andreas from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

In Tuolumne County, each weekday along Highway 108 between Mono Way and Draper Mine Road, crack seal work is slated from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Expect ten-minute delays here while crews are onsite.

On Highway 132, Wednesday through Friday, maintenance work under a moving closure may generate brief delays between Highway 49 and the Stanislaus/Tuolumne County line from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
