Several Sonora Roadways Closed East Of HWY49

Sonora, CA — Hydrant and water main replacements will continue to delay motorists this week during the morning and evening commutes.
Oakdale based Mozingo Construction Inc. crews will be switching out fire hydrants and a water main from Monday, February 15 to Friday, February 19 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Road closed signs will be in place along with possible flaggers directing traffic in the following areas:
- East Jackson Street between West and Short lanes
- Short Lane from East Jackson to Lyons Street
- Sonora Avenue south of Fair Street
- Shepherd Street north of Cowan Street
Motorists could face up to 5 to 10 minute delays. Â Heavy equipment may line the roadways ,as well as workers, according to company officials, who ask travelers to use cautions in the work zones.
