Skier Dies At Bear Valley

Bear Valley, CA — A man died today while on the slopes at Bear Valley.
The Bear Valley Resort reports that a 60-year-old unidentified male unfortunately collapsed at around 1:40pm while skiing. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by arriving first responders, and the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
Bear Valley Resort General Manager Andrea Young says, “The entire Bear Valley family is very saddened by this tragic incident. Our hearts go out to this individual’s family and friends during this tremendously difficult time.”
