Burson, CA – The identity and cause of death has been released of an Oakdale man who perished early Saturday morning alongside Camanche Parkway South near Campo Seco Road.
According to Calaveras County Deputy Coroner Keith Rosa, 54-year-old Thomas Burt Ferreira died after suffering a heart attack behind the wheel of his car. “There was no accident, he slowed to the shoulder,” Rosa said. According to the police report, the incident happened around 6:44 a.m. and the car, a 1997 Toyota Celica, was found with its right front end next to a dirt embankment. Rosa said that the car was still idling when responders arrived on the scene.
