Council To Recognize Volleyball Team

Sonora, CA — The success of the Sonora High Girls Volleyball team will be front and center this evening.

The Sonora City Council will give a proclamation to the team in honor of their recent state championship. The Council will also vote on whether to close down a portion of Washington Street on Friday for the parade scheduled in the team’s honor.

In addition, the Council will further discuss camping issues in the city limits of Sonora, notably in regards to homeless camps.

Tonight’s regular session meeting starts at 5pm at City Hall.

Also of note, there will be a closed session meeting starting at 4:30pm, to discuss litigation aimed at the city. One topic will be the Walmart lawsuit.
