Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA – The California Transportation Commission (CTC) has allocated one billion in funding to infrastructure projects and Tuolumne County will get a piece of the pie.

“This funding helps preserve California’s great infrastructure and puts thousands of Californian’s to work building sustainable, new improvements,” said Caltrans Director Malcolm Dougherty.  “The investment in highway preservation and innovation is absolutely critical to California’s economy.”

Federal funds of $750 million will go towards Caltrans’ Local Assistance Program, which annually pays for more than 1,200 projects designed to improve local roads, bridges, and public transit.

In addition, the CTC approved $170 million for 29 additional projects, including $ 60,000 that will go to the Tuolumne County Transportation Council for local State Transportation Improvement Program planning, programming, and monitoring of construction projects.
