The battle over where to store the nation´s 77,000 tons of radioactive waste inched forward today in San
Francisco. A divided federal appeals court says a lawsuit over the Yucca Mountain proposal will be heard in federal court.
The government sued
Nevada after it refused to issue water permits to run what is being touted as the nation´s only proposed repository for spent nuclear fuel, which still needs
congressional approval.
