The reward for a missing pregnant woman from Modesto is up to half a million dollars.
A friend of the family of Laci Peterson donated $375,000 to the reward fund last night – bringing the total to $500,000 for information leading to her safe return.
Peterson was last seen walking her dog in a neighborhood park Christmas Eve. Her husband was away on a fishing trip, but called police when he returned home later that day and found her missing. The new donor to the reward fund is from the Modesto area. A foundation coordinating the volunteer effort says the man doesn´t want any attention and doesn´t want his name released. He just wants Peterson to be found. Police say Peterson´s husband, Scott, is not a suspect.
