Mountain Ranch Man Sentenced

A Mountain Ranch man convicted of assualt with a firearm and being a felon in possession of a gun has been sentenced to 22 years in state prison.
Leonard Mitchell, 46, was convicted of the charges Oct. 11. Calaveras County Superior Court Judge John E. Martin imposed the sentence.
Mitchell had an earlier strike conviction.
