Hit-And-Run Driver Arrested

A hit-and-run driver fleeing the scene of a minor injury crash on Highway 26 yesterday was later involved in another accident along that same roadway.
The highway patrol says 45-year-old Valley Springs resident Kenneth Barrows rear-ended a car driven by 18 year-old Zach Sanchez, also of Valley Springs. The crash injured Sanchez and his 16-year-old passenger.
The CHP says Barrows fled the scene of that crash, heading westbound on Highway 26 where he was involved in a major collision near Wimer Road. He then took off on foot. Barrows was later located and arrested by CHP officers.
