No Plea Tuesday In Schantz Case

A longtime Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce director did not enter a plea at her arraignment today on six felony charges.
Donna Maples Schantz is accused of withdrawing more than 66-thousand dollars from her former father-in-law’s bank account the day after he died.
Schantz was released on her own recognizance on the condition that she has no contact with the victim’s family and does not manage the finances for any seniors.
She’s due back in court Nov. 21.
