Bush Uses Satellite Photos To Press Case Against Iraq

Sponsored by:

President Bush is using new satellite photos of Iraq to press his case for ousting Saddam Hussein. Bush says there´s enough evidence to show that the Iraqi leader is developing weapons of mass destruction. Speaking with British Prime Minister Tony Blair at his side, Bush cited satellite photos released by a U-N agency. They show unexplained construction at sites that weapons inspectors once visited to search for nuclear arms. Bush says the world owes it to future generations to deal with “this problem.” Blair, a lone voice of European support for the U-S stance on Iraq, agreed with Bush. He says the “policy of inaction is not a policy we can responsibly subscribe to.” Bush and Blair are meeting at Camp David in Maryland. They will plot strategy on Iraq that could include a possible military strike.
