Chase Nets Suspected Car Thief

Tuolumne County deputies jailed a suspected car thief after a lengthy car and foot chase Friday evening. Officers were looking for Erick Greenway in a stolen vehicle, based on information developed earlier.
They spotted him in the car near Lime Kiln road shortly before 6:00 p.m. and gave chase. The pursuit hit speeds of 110 miles per hour and took the vehicles along Highway 108, Tuolumne Road, and Tuolumne Road North to the Twain Harte area. The foot chase started after the stolen vehicle was involved in an accident near Twain Harte Drive. Deputies chased the suspect along the creek to Twain Harte Lake, and eventually took him into custody. His passenger was also arrested on warrants.
