Lodge Carries On After Fire

Firefighters hope to have an official cause of last week´s Long Barn Lodge Fire soon. Crews are back at the Lodge site today, while the resort continues its operation, working around the rubble. The loss is estimated at a half-million dollars.
The vintage building burned to the ground in a blaze that started just after 3:00 a.m. Friday. No one was hurt. Crews were able to make a quick early attack on the fire because of a newly-installed hydrant system. They saved the adjacent Post Office building, and a skating rink located to the rear of the main lodge.
