Little Owen Is MTH’s First New Year’s Baby

Owen Edward Murphy of San Andreas is the first baby born at Mark Twain Hospital for the new year. The young Calaveras County resident came into the world on New Years Day at 8:03 p.m. and weighed in at six pounds, ten ounces and is just under 20 inches tall.
Owen´s parents were showered with gifts from various local businesses and organizations. Owen´s mom, Mellissa Williams is fine and is resting comfortably at the hospital.
