Shelley:Voter Confusion Now Over

Sponsored by:

California Secretary of State Kevin Shelley says there´s been a lot of voter confusion caused by an effort to postpone the October gubernatorial recall. And that confusion, he says, is now over.

A unanimous, eleven-member federal appeals court in San Francisco today reinstated the October seventh election, which had been delayed by a three-judge panel of the same court.

Shelley praised today’s decision, noting that no court has ever delayed an election once voting had begun. Some voters had already mailed their absentee ballots when the three-judge panel ruled, and Shelley says it´s important to complete the process.
