Woman With Mother Lode Ties in Midst of Blackout

We talked last night with 30-year-old Suzanne Haley night who lives in New York and has family here in the Mother Lode.
Haley told us what it was like in The Big Apple during the outage. “The entire city has shut down, the streets are completely mobbed with people,” she said. “Every office building was basically evacuated at the exact same time.”
“No elevators, no trains, nothing…there´s people who are actually running across bridges trying to get out of the city,” Haley told Mymotherlode.com last night.
A former California resident, Haley now lives in the Mid-Town Manhattan area of New York, a few blocks from Grand Central Station.
