Local Mobile Library Has Begun

Tuolumne County Library officials are excited for two reasons. First, this the first week of regular operation for the “Worlds of Wonder Mobile Library.” Library Director Connie Corcoran says the other reason they€™re pumped up is because the Starbuck€™s company has announced a grant of $5,000 for the mobile library.
Back in October of last year, local officials received a $90,000 grant from the state to begin the mobile library.
Corcoran says that once the project is fully established, the actual cost of running it should be under $50,000 every year. The mobile library will be taking books and resource materials to what officials call “underserved areas.”
