Kerry Speaks Out Against Bush

Sponsored by:

Presidential hopeful Senator John Kerry is accusing President Bush of treating California as “foreign territory” and says the Bush administration has worked against the state´s interests.

Speaking at the California Democratic Party convention in Sacramento, Kerry cited what he says are the Bush administration´s attempts to block California environmental regulations and its siding with Enron during the energy crisis.

The Massachusetts Democrat was the first of six presidential hopefuls appearing at the weekend event.

Republican National Committee spokesman Kevin Sheridan disputed Kerry´s comments. He said “Californians need to know they have a president who has cut their taxes, reformed their children´s education and is protecting the homeland.”
