More Top Democrats Now Supporting Bush

Top Democrats who had opposed the war with Iraq are joining with President Bush in praising American troops. In the party´s weekly radio address, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco says the military members are “prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice.”
Pelosi had opposed the war resolution passed by Congress, but she´s pledging that allied forces and their families will have the support they need to “win this war and win the peace.” Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle says Americans are grateful to the troops, and praying that they “return home safely and soon.”
The president in his weekly radio address said the allied cause is “just.”
