DUI Charges for Valley Springs Motorcyclist

A Valley Springs man was arrested on D.U.I. charges following a traffic accident. The C.H.P. says 56-year-old Richard Martin was intoxicated when he was riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle on Mountain Ranch Road.
Officers say Martin allowed his motorcycle to drift across the double yellow line, crashing into a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 68-year-old Mary Lou Tompkins of Mountain Ranch. Martin was taken to U.C. Davis Hospital with major injuries and he was arrested. Tompkins was not injured.
