Calaveras County Fair Comes To A Close

The 75th anniversary edition of the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee is all a happy, but a little sunburnt memory

Plenty of warm temperatures and sunny skies graced the “Diamond Anniversary” year county fair at Frog Town in Angels Camp. On the final day of the fair, lots of activities were on the schedule, including pro rodeo, the destruction derby and the grand finals of the world famous frog jump.

During the run of the fair, features like the Battle of the Bands, pony express relay race, ranch roping and calf branding, livestock judging,food, carnival rides and entertainment. Saturday was “Cowboy Day,” and country music star Darryl Worley headlined on the main stage to a huge crowd.

Grand finals of the famous frog jump competition begins at 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
