Lathrop Man Charged After Child Falls and Dies

A Lathrop man is charged with felony drunken driving, after a 3-year-old boy from Stockton fell off the back of a truck tractor the man was driving. The child was killed.
The CHP says 63-year-old William Rose Jr. was driving the tractor in a truck yard in Manteca, with two kids on the back, and one child riding in the cab.
Rose called 911 after the boy fell, but it was too late.
The child was pronounced dead at San Joaquin General Hospital.
